Come experience the stoke of a lifetime!

Sandy is the man! He had me out on the water catching waves faster than I thought possible. Within the first few rides I caught he had me going from wiping out to riding all the way to shore! He not only taught me how to ride, he explained in depth the fundamentals of wave dynamics to help me understand just how and why the surfboard works. This man knows his stuff. Once I was able to ride on my own he still stuck around in the water, explaining all about the marine life around us and giving me pointers on how to continue to improve. Sandy is friendly, efficient, and definitely a safe bargain.
“He was a great instructor. Super enthusiastic, didn’t dick around with a bunch of wordy prep and such, just threw me into the deep end and made sure I had a super fun (and safe) time out there. It was amazing and I had a blast. It’s really hard work, and my knee is still a little bit scabby, but I pretty much kicked ass for a first-timer – even if it doesn’t quite look it in these pictures. (M could only stand around in the surf for so long, and our hour-long lesson turned into more like two.) We even managed to discussion religion and marriage equality in between waves! Word.”
Wow how cool was surf lesson you ask? It was a great experience and I was stoked the whole time. With the little bit of time we had, Sandy had me up and Riding a wave with the pop up technique in no time! I was able to catch some rides which made it all worth it! Go see Sandy and see what’s up!
I am just a little girl from Norway,( with bad english, so I can Start to saying sorry for that, and I hope you guys understand it even thougt) who was in Coco beach for some days in April at a vacation and one day, after I had seen a lot of surfing at the beach while I was there to get sunny, I decided that I wanna try to surf to! and the day after I had talked to Sandy I was ready for my first surf lessions ever! and I havent seen surfing in live other than on television and the days I where at coco beach, So I did not think that I was gonna do it god at all. So I actually saw it as it was just for fun and actually thougt it was a waste of money, just something I had to try, just to try it. So I had never ever thoght that I was gonna get my self up on the board! but after like 10 minuttes of working on land, we where ready to go in the ocean and try, I actually didnt think that I self was ready for that, but with all the encouragement and the positivity that I got from Sandy, did that I was able to catch, almost every waves, some where better and bader than others, but it didnt ment anything for me basically as long as I just where able to get up on the board and for me that was surfing! its a very, very good start at least! and then we had almost one hour with surfing and fun in the beautiful ocean! Next time Im in Florida, I deffently will come back and do even more surf lessions! it was so definitely worth everything!
I am 13 years old and have always been interested in “board” sports and when I went to cocoa beach 2 years ago on spring break vacation with my family. When I met Sandy me and my dad talked to him for a while about how we bought a surfboard for me and I had no idea how to surf (except how to paddle)
. Then Sandy suggested he could teach me and we took him up on the offer. He is a very good teacher. He knows how to surf and makes the lessons fun. Plus he teaches quick I was able to catch waves and stand up all on my own in only a week. I would recommend him to anyone who is a beginner and wants to learn how to surf. Thanks Sandy
I was in Florida for the very first time a couple a weeks ago. I had never surfed before, but decided to give it a go! I had a private lesson with Sandy at Cocoa beach, and it was just awsome. Sandy is such a great teacher, and I loved every minute of my session. I learned a lot and surfing was great! I really recommend it, and hopefully I will do it again soon. Thank you Sandy!
Everything happens for a reason… I was finishing up a yoga course and about to head back to my parents place (I’m from NS visiting) when I decided to my a quick exit and head for Cocoa Beach. This is my first week of driving in Florida so I wasn’t completely sure where I was going so I hit Cocoa Beach Pier in my GPS. I accidently turned too early and ended up right beside Sandy’s surf rental pad. I’ve surfed a little at home, but not well and alway have had a fear of getting tossed around under water by big waves. Sandy’s laid back personality took the edge off for me and once he said “its like yoga, you got to feel it in your body” he had me and I relaxed. Not only did I get to stand up on the board but I began to “ride” the waves. Its an AMAZING feeling. Thanks Sandy!
I met Sandy almost 7 years ago while on Cocoa Beach and became wonderful friends with him. He has given me awesome surfing pointers and a driving motivation for surfing as well as in life in general. Sandy’s positive attitude will blow you away and an hour surfing with him is one crazy hour you’ll never forget!!
Sandy Beach Surfing is perfect for all skill levels. Sandy will help you fine tune your abilities as an experienced surfer or walk you through every step of the way as a beginner. My name is Wayne and as a beginner Sandy taught me everything from getting through the waves to catching one and balancing on the board. He even teaches a little bit about the local Marine Biology that surrounds you. Awesome guy, awesome personality, awesome experience!
I’m from Iowa and I met Sandy 2 years ago and my whole family has been good friends with him ever since. Sandy taught me how to surf the first week I met him. There are a lot of people who give surf lessons but Sandy makes it fun and teaches people the right way. I learned very quickly and started to catch waves all by myself. Every time I take a trip to FLorida I always get a lesson from Sandy and I get better every time. It is amazing to be able to say that I am an Iowa girl who is comfortable to surf on my own. After all of the lessons and guidance from Sandy I have gotten really good at surfing. Not only is Sandy my surf instructor, he is a great friend and there is NEVER a dull moment when you are around him. He has given me the confidence that I needed to pursue other things in my life.
